Some GARO news

Ok, ok. So it’s been a… while since I’ve updated the site. Well, I’ve been busy so sue me. :P At any rate, yup there is a “2nd” GARO “series” but not really. In fact it’s not a 2nd series but rather a special that will air around Christmas time. I haven’t done any translating so I’m not sure when it’ll air other then in December. The DVDs will be going on sale in January and February, it’ll be in two parts with dvd 1 coming out Jan 26th and dvd 2 out Feb 23rd. Whether or not a real second series/season of GARO will take place, no idea at this time.

There is a new single coming out by GARO Project and that’ll be out next month (yup, pre-ordered it a while back).

Mmm… oh yeah, video clips are offline for the moment as some of my stuff from YouTube was removed due to copyright infringement (::rolls eyes::) I might just upload them to Megaupload but that’s a pain. I won’t host them here on my site, sorry but that’s just eats up too much bandwidth for my purposes.

So let me think, what else is news worthy and GARO related… Hmm… nothing much for me to report, I haven’t had a chance to really go over the stuff I’ve seen on the GARO 2006 site and haven’t bought any magazines the last few months, so I’m out of the loop. Best bet is to head on over to Henshin Justice and see what’s being posted on the forums.

My GARO volume 1 DVD

My GARO volume 1 DVD finally arrived today. I’m so happy! The box that came with it is very pretty. I’ll get some batteries for my digital camera and take some pictures. Now that my volume 1 DVD is here I’ll be screen capping from it.

I’ll also be updating various other sections of the site, specifically the music section, and add the GARO Project information. When that’ll be up, I’m not entirely sure since I’m currently working on my Sh15uya section.

A 2nd series?

Rumors have been flying through cyberspace with people speculating whether there will be more GARO. I can't honestly say that I know if there will be or there won't be. I can hope that there is but I don't think there has been any toku that has been successful for a second series to be created. Note, I said TOKU.

At the end of March when GARO ended in Japan, the official site had posted the following on their information section. The post has been removed which has furthered cause speculation that there will be a second GARO series. The rumors and speculations are based on the final scene at the end of GARO, ep 25, where it says to be continued.

Wow, should I be angry or flattered?

It came to my attention that my translations for the GARO titles are up on Wikipedia. It's funny because I know my translations are not always the same another person's translations. Several eps had different ways it could be translated like the last ep which has two meanings (I originally used the first but the changed it once I viewed the ep). Really, I don't know if I should be angry that someone lifted my work and posted it at Wikipedia as their own, without crediting me either, OR delighted that people actually take my translations as correct and post them at different places.

I'm flattered that my translations are being used but I'm a little irked that I'm not credited for it.
